…sorry to shatter your hopes and dreams, but trimming your hair doesn't make it grow. I know, I was sad too. There’s a belief, especially among girls, that by cutting or trimming you hair, it would grow much faster. So, I went ahead to look for the science behind this and after going through a text book titled ‘ The Biology of Hair Growth ’, there it was staring at me, the fact that “…clipping and shaving have no effect on growth”. Sigh!. Another argument is if hair grows from the scalp or from the tip of the strand. Well, now that we know that you can cut it and nothing would happen, it’s clear that it grows from the roots, below the scalp. In fact, when it pops out of your head, it dies!      You know what a hoverboard is, right? Those segway lookalikes without handles? Well, some techy guys can’t get over the fact that they are called ‘hoverboards’ because they do not actually hover a.k.a suspend a.k.a don’t-touch-the-ground-at-all?
