Secrets to getting rid of that disease!

…Or any infection for that matter: DON’T SELF-MEDICATE! Yes! It is an instruction from the most concerned part of my heart. I want to talk about self-medicating especially with antibiotics.

Antibiotics are really powerful medicines that kill bacteria. The problem with these drugs is that they can kill any bacteria, good or bad. Unfortunately, our bodies consists of both! Self-medicating on antibiotics could kill good bacteria, weaken the immune system and expose you to even more dangerous infections. It could also lead to allergic reactions, bacteria resistance to drugs causing you to be sick longer, and vaginal problems in women such as itching, burning sensation, smell, and discharge.

Not every illness is caused by a bacteria. So taking an antibiotic for a viral infection or a fungal infection wouldn’t be effective. Instead it might make things even worse as it could cause the death of the good bacteria working hard to keep you healthy.

So before you pop a pill, ask yourself ‘can I just drink some water, eat healthy and get some rest for this to go away?’ and If your answer is no, then please SEE A DOCTOR! *Yes, I am screaming *. And if your doctor prescribes something for you, be sure to complete the dose so as to avoid bacterial resistance to that antibiotic, even if you start to feel better.

If you have any questions, please send me an email :) ---->
